The police have nominated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Fazal Elahi in an FIR over staging a protest demonstration in the red zone of Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Police approached the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly speaker to clear the path for the arrest of the lawmaker. The FIR was registered under article 427, 353, and 341. While commenting on his nomination in the FIR, Fazal said that he is in Peshawar and will face the cases, adding that he doesn’t care about his detention.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI workers have announced that they will resist if the police came to arrest the lawmaker.
