The Balochistan government on Friday officially informed the Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani before taking custody of Senator Azam Swati, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

He was taken away from the PIMS Islamabad by Quetta police and moved to Balochistan. 

The Balochistan police arrested PTI Senator Azam Swati for posting controversial tweets against senior military officers.

The sources claimed that his arrest has been made over the different cases registered against the senator across Balochistan province including a case filed in Kuchlak on November 26.

The Balochistan Home Department informed the Chairman Senate through a letter. A copy of the FIR registered in Kuchlak was also attached to the letter.
