A fire broke out in a multi-storey plaza located on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, on receiving information of the blaze the fire brigade vehicles rushed to the Rimpa Plaza and started rescue operation.
Multiple fire brigade vehicles were busy in extinguishing the fire, rescue officials said.
The fire incident took place in Rimpa Plaza which was located on MA Jinnah Road.
After hours-long struggle, the fire in Rimpa Plaza on MA Jinnah Road was brought under control.
According to spokesperson of rescue team, two snorkels and 11 fire tenders were used in the rescue operation and Pakistan Navy personnel also participated in the relief work.
According to the Chief Fire Officer, the operation was hampered by the lack of a smoke exhaust vent in the building.
There was a warehouse of plastic, rubber, leather and spare parts in the affected building, Chief Fire Officer said.
