Two cops die in Rajanpur road accident

Two policemen on Tuesday embraced martyrdom and two others were critically injured when a speedy truck hit a police van on Indus Highway Road in Rajanpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A police spokesman said that after receiving credible report about supply of liquor, the police party as chasing drug-sellers.
The deceased policemen were later identified as Ataullah and Mohammad Kashif while injured cops Sub-Inspector Zeeshan and Constable Ghulam Mohammad were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for first-aid.
Later, Inspector-General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and summoned a detailed report from Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Dera Ghazi Khan.
IGP Dr. Usman Anwar directed hospital administration to provide all necessary facilities to injured cops.
He further said that those policemen who rendered valuable services while performing their duties were our assets and we are proud of them.
He directed DPO Rajanpur to take all necessary measures for welfare and support to bereaved families.
