A man was killed in Wah Cantt by the firing of the car lifters, who opened fire at the police despite extracting the ransom money. A police officer was also injured by the firing of Bilal Gang, notorious for lifting cars across Punjab.
The deceased, Meherban Butt, was a resident of Wah Cantt.
After lifting the car, the gang demanded ransom of 9 lakh rupees and after receiving the money they opened fire that killed Meherban Butt, while sub-inspector Mohsin Gondal was severely injured.
