A groom and his bride died when their car was overturned due to overspeeding and hit a roadside tree on National Highway in Sahiwal on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rescue 1122 sources said that the bride was seriously wounded in the accident but later died in the hospital. Two more women were also injured in the accident occurred near 37 Barah.
Soon after receiving the report of the accident, Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Sahiwal.
Sources further said that the wedding party was returning from Sindh. All the dead and injured persons were residents of Pattoki.
The dead groom was identified as Mohammad Yousaf while name of his bride was Sonya.
