Pakistan Democratic Movement Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the incompetent government has destroyed the national economy.
Addressing the PDM rally in Bahawalpur rally on Sunday, Fazl announced that the PDM would hold protest demonstration in front of the Election Commission office in Islamabad on January 19 against the delay in foreign funding case decision.
Fazlur Rehman said that PDM had waged a jihad against the ‘illegitimate’ government. He said that people gave verdict in favour of the PDM. He said aim of the PDM was to restore real democracy in the country. He said that the rulers were expecting that the PDM would not be able to sustain. He said that today the PDM is still intact and it will remain united until the ouster of the prime minister.
Fazlur Rehman grilled the government over economic policies. He said that the country was progressing in Nawaz Sharif’s tenure. This government did mega corruption in two years, he added.
He said that Kashmir Day would be marked with full passion and zeal on February 5. He said that Imran Khan presented a Kashmir’s partition formula. He alleged that Israel heavily invested in Pakistan to keep its rulers silent on Kashmir issue. He said that a huge rally would be organised against Israel on January 21 in Karachi.
The PDM chairman said that this government was brought to destroy the Chinese investment in Pakistan. Pakistan is isolated in the region because of the poor foreign policies of the PTI-led federal government, he added.
He said that this ‘illegal’ government has to go home. He said that people would decide their ruler. He demanded immediate fresh elections according to the constitution.
He condemned the killing of youngster Usama by the Islamabad police. Is there are any human rights in the country, he questioned.
