Islamic University closed after clash in students’ groups, 8 activists injured

International Islamic University became a battlefield of different student groups and eight students were injured in a physical attack on each other on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV Channel, after the serious clash among the student groups, the administration has closed the university.
Some of the linguistic student organizations including Pashtun Students Council, JTI, and Gilgit-Baltistan Students Council rallied at the behest of the rector in the main campus.
But the opposition groups called for a boycott of the rally and attacked the participants with hammers and sticks in the presence of Islamabad police and security personnel.
