Amir Khan, a former British-Pakistani boxer, has responded to allegations made by Asian bridal model Sumaira, accusing her of attempting to blackmail him and selling her story to a British tabloid after he refused to pay her £20,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Amir Khan has come forward to share his side of the story after Sumaira claimed that he had engaged in explicit conversations with her, cheating on his wife Faryal Makhdoom.
Amir Khan made this clarification during an interview with TV channel. He explained the events that actually took place between him and Sumaira.
According to Amir Khan, Sumaira selectively shared deleted messages with The Sun newspaper, omitting crucial context. He revealed that Sumaira initiated contact with him on social media, expressing her dissatisfaction with her family and seeking distance from them. Khan inquired about the tattoos on her body and how they aligned with her faith.
Amir Khan stated that Sumaira sent him revealing pictures and discussed her desire for enhancement surgeries. However, he made it clear that he did not request these pictures and was unimpressed by them. He admitted to responding positively to Sumaira's request for a compliment, stating, "I wish you would say I can't stop looking, so I did. Then she sent more pictures, and I simply said it was nothing new to me.
"
The boxer revealed that Sumaira then asked him for £20,000, claiming she needed the money to correct a hand deformity she had been hiding. Khan refused, advising her to find employment and emphasizing that seeking money in such a manner was wrong.
Khan attributed Sumaira's decision to sell her story to his refusal to provide her with money. While he acknowledged feeling upset by her claims of being disowned by her family, he dismissed her as a liar driven by financial motives.
Khan ceased communication with her thereafter.
Khan vehemently denied Sumaira's allegation that he spoke negatively about his wife or viewed their marriage as a business arrangement. He reiterated his happiness in his marriage, highlighting that he and his wife were together in Dubai with their children. Khan expressed sympathy for individuals like Sumaira and the actions they take.
Regarding the allegations, it has been reported that the former light-welterweight world champion, of Pakistani origin, found himself embroiled in controversy once again due to alleged explicit conversations with the bridal model.
According to The Sun story, Amir Khan begged a model to send him revealing pictures and tried to meet up with her in the run-up to his 10th wedding anniversary. The 36-year-old I’m A Celeb star approached the bridal model online by complimenting her on her tattoos.
Amir Khan tried to meet up with a model in the run-up to his 10th wedding anniversary to his wife Faryal but he quickly tried to turn their chat saucy, saying “U look good on g string” and suggesting the slender influencer had a “boob job”.
Seemingly aware he was going behind the back of his wife Faryal, 31, he vowed to delete any racy pictures she sent and asked: “Think I wanna get caught out?”
Khan, whose marriage has been rocked by a string of cheating storms, first contacted social media influencer Sumaira, 25, on May 6.
Three days earlier, he had been the third contestant evicted from the all-star version of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get me out of Here in South Africa.
The former world champion remarked on an Instagram story about tattoos, which Sumaira had posted. Sumaira — known as Sumzz beauty online — responded, saying: “I don’t know if you’re joking.”
But dad-of-three Khan followed up his compliment by saying: “Lol I’m serious. They sick. (As) in good.”
Messages sent from his Amir King Khan account show him in Dubai — where he and Faryal have a home with their two daughters and son.
As they chatted about tattoos, Sumaira sent him a snap of herself clothed but showing roses on her midriff.
Khan replied: “Can’t stop looking.”
Trying to convince her to send more revealing snaps, he suggested it was a “tattoo chat” and added: “It’s nothing I ain’t seen b4 . . . somebody’s body.”
The ex-boxer also spoke to Sumaira on the phone to explain why he had contacted her.
She said: “We had a phone call and he said he and Faryal were not properly together and that it was a bit of a business arrangement. “He said he was 36 and retired and that Faryal spent a lot of time in London. He spun me a bit of a sob story, and to begin with I felt sorry for him and thought he was lonely.”
He stopped messaging Sumaira after telling her he was travelling back to London on May 8.
Weeks later Khan — who married Faryal in 2013 — posted a snap online of himself with his US model wife and daughters, saying: “10 years later.” He then popped up and messaged Sumaira again on Friday, June 2 — to try to get her to join him on a night out in London.
He sent her the location of a West London nightspot and said: “Be free around 10.30.”
But she ignored his message amid fears over his intentions.
Sumaira said: “I felt in my gut it would be a bad idea to go.”
Within days, though, Khan began messaging Sumaira again. Trying to persuade her to send revealing snaps, Khan said: “Don’t worry I delete.”
And after Sumaira sent him a video of herself, he replied: “Too much clothes.
”
He then asked about her breasts and said bluntly: “Let’s see.” He added: “U look good on g string.”
After growing suspicious about what Khan had said about his marriage, Sumaira and the ex-boxer argued and stopped contact.
She said: “I was confused about what his intentions were. Then I realised he had been lying to me and trying to get one thing.”
