As reports of a deal between model and actress Uzma Khan and family of the most powerful real estate tycoon of the country made headlines on Tuesday, the complainant in this case took to Twitter early in the morning to deny all such reports and warned people against spreading “fake news”.
She wrote on her twitter page: “Fake news, don't support me but at least do not spread fake false news. I will fight INSHAALLAH.”

She was responding to a tweet by Mir Mohammad Alikhan @MirMAKOfficial, who said the actress has agreed to settle for money. He wrote at 10:17pm on Monday, “Ladies & Gentleman: #UzmaKhan has agreed for a monetary settlement by the other party. Entire Drama Exposed. Now don’t say LAAANAT on the system because the system did not force this UZMA to take money. Her greed did.”
However, social media was abuzz on Tuesday evening with the reports that the actress has finally submitted her reconciliation statement to police and the judge, requesting withdrawal of her charges against her tormentors (Amna Malik and others) and declared the incident result of a misunderstanding. Some social media users stood by Uzma Khan and blamed the flawed system for making the ordinary citizens surrender to the elite class in case of a clash. In contrast, some people called Uzma Khan a greedy woman and said the basic idea behind this entire episode was making money from close relatives of the real estate tycoon.
Earlier on June 1, Uzma Khan’s lawyer Khadija Siddiqui announced her dissociation from the case. She wrote on Twitter that she has distanced herself from Uzma’s case and said that she understands the reasons for the alleged settlement reached by the two aggrieved women with their tormentors in this “rigged system”.
Hassaan Niazi, a lawyer who fought Khadija Siddiqui’s case against her attacker some years ago and then stood by the actress when no one did, shared Khadija’s tweet and said, “We understand our clients’ position, they wanted to get justice but the system allows powerful aggressors to do as they please, with no accountability! I pray that a day will come when law is equal for all. Our fight for justice continues.”
