Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday admonished Member of National Assembly (MNA) belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Shehryar Khan Afridi whose vote during the Senate elections had gone waste, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“You are an MNA, and still you do not know how to cast vote. This is notwithstanding the fact that you had been told the way of casting vote,” PM Imran reportedly said to the MNA.

Sources say Afridi failed to give a satisfactory answer to the prime minister.

Earlier, PTI MNA Shehryar Afridi, instead of stamping on the ballot paper, had put his signatures on the ballot paper.

Afridi, after consultations with PM Imran and other party members, requested the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) officials for the issuance of a new ballot paper to him so that he could cast his vote again.

Furthermore, despite repeatedly turning to the ECP officials for help, the latter did not guide Afridi, who is also the chairperson of the Parliamentary Special Committee on Kashmir.
