Work on Malpur model park underway

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has given go-ahead for constructing a 350-acre model park in the Malpur forest.
The government will plant 7,000 saplings while a pond will also be constructed for wetland and to store rainwater.
Tender notice has been issued for buying the machinery of Rs28.4 million. This project will be completed at the cost of Rs116.4 million.
In November, the project got approved and a total of 6,000 kachnar trees have been planted in the park.
The machinery of 34 types will be purchased for this project including tractors, hydraulic loaders, front blade tractors, and others.
The tender has also been issued for a boundary wall and a tube well. The process of the induction of an assistant director, guards, gardeners, and other staff will be completed soon.
