Punjab By-Elections: PPP calls for applications of candidates

Deciding to contest by-elections without making an alliance with another party, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Thursday called for the applications of candidates from Punjab.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, a virtual meeting of the PPP Central Punjab was presided over by Faryal Talpur who made the decision to start preparations for the elections in the province. 
PPP leaders Rana Farooq Saeed, Syed Hasan Murtaza, Shehzad Saeed Cheema, Tasneem Qureshi, Sardar Salim Haider, Chaudhry Aslam Gil, Inayat Ali Shah, Asif Bashir Bhagat, Rai Shah Jahan Bhatti, Ghulam Farid Kathia, Samina Khalid Gharki and Faisal Mir participated in the meeting.
Qamar Zaman Kaira, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Imtiaz Safdar Waraich and Tanveer Ashraf Kaira also joined the meeting exclusively.
In the meeting, Faryal Talpur directed all divisional presidents to provide lists of suitable candidates to the PPP Central Punjab Secretariat by next week.
Addressing the meeting, she said strong candidates will be fielded from each constituency in Punjab by-elections.
She also said the PPP will not go into an electoral alliance with anyone in Punjab
