As PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was making a fiery speech in the National Assembly (NA) on Sunday after getting elected as the 24th prime minister of the country, members of the opposition, belonging to the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), who were formerly members of the PTI, kept raising hue and cry, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
They shouted slogans like ‘Go Nawaz Go’, ‘Aae Aae PTI’ and others to show their contempt for the ruling alliance.
In one incident, SIC MNA Jamshed Dasti showed a shoe polish and a brush to the MNAs, sitting on government benches, which infuriated PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar, who in response asked Dasti to polish his boots and moved his shoes towards him.
Jamshed Dasti apparently tried to copy the PML-N MPA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Sobia Shahid Khan, who displayed a wristwatch in the maiden session of the newly-elected provincial assembly, a reference to the Toshakhana conviction of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan.
