An avalanche triggered by incessant rains and snowfall blocked Murree Road in Abbottabad on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) started a rescue operation to remove the debris for restoring the traffic flow.
Earlier, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted heavy snowfall and rains for Friday-Saturday in Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas, said spokesperson PDMA.
Director General (DG) PDMA Imran Qureshi has directed to the administration to ensure safety measures.
He said preparations are complete to deal with emergency situations and tourists are requested to cooperate with the administration.
