Chinese leadership felicitates Shehbaz Sharif on becoming PM for second time

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Qiang have congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on assuming office as Prime Minister of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

They extended warm congratulations to Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his return in the office.

President Xi Jinping, in a statement issued through the state-run news agency Xinhua, conveyed his confidence in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's leadership abilities, expressing optimism for Pakistan's future under his stewardship.

They also wished him every success in his new job to achieve the aspirations of the Pakistani people.

Stressing the deep-rooted friendship between China and Pakistan, President Xi urged for the continued strengthening of bilateral ties across various sectors.

He underscored the importance of advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations for mutual prosperity.

Meanwhile, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council also joined in extending felicitations to the newly-elected Prime Minister, further affirming China's commitment to fostering closer collaboration with Pakistan.
