Judo girl dies after blow to head in Mardan competition

A 20-year-old girl student died after suffering a head injury during a judo competition in Mardan on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to rescue officials, the female’s condition deteriorated soon after she was hit on the head during the competition held at the Sports Complex of Mardan Education Department.

 The victim was identified as Fiza who hailed from Peshawar.

Rescue workers arrived at the scene and performed CPR to stabilise her condition before moving to the hospital.

However, the medical staff at the hospital in Mardan confirmed her death on arrival at the hospital.
