Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the rumours spread by some government ministers that the PML-N was trying to reach a deal with the government over 18th Amendment in exchange for abolishing sentences of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were completely false and baseless.
He posted two videos on twitter on his official twitter account in this regard.
Ishaq Dar said that rumors of reviewing the last NFC award or any consultation with govt on the condition of changes in NAB ordinance were totally baseless.
As far as changes in NAB ordinances are concerned, these changes have become a dire need for PTI government and they just want to cover up the scandals of sugar and wheat crisis with bringing in such amendments in anti-graft watchdog ordinance.
“The government has been a failure economically and at foreign affairs level and I want to clarify no demand from the PML-N or any interaction has been made in this regard.”
“Government uses such measures time and again to divert the attention of common people on their increased inflation and other problems,” he added.
Ishaq Dar vowed, “Nawaz Sharif cases are in appeal High Courts and soon he will come out and all verdicts against him and his daughter would be abolished and he would be performing duties for the nation and for his party soon.”
