In connection with the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday started interviews of the potential candidates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On the first day of interviews at Islamabad, Parliamentary Board of the PML-N headed by Raja Farooq and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi held meetings with the party leaders from AJK who were willing to contest.
PML-N other prominent leaders including Pervez Rasheed, Berjis Tahir, Maryam Aurangzeb, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Khurram Dastgir along with some board members from AJK were also present there.
In the first phase, parliamentary board completed interviews of 40 candidates for nine constituencies of Mirpur, Bhimbhar and Kotli. The interviews’ session continued five hours.
There are total 45 seats on which elections would be contested in AJK and PML-N had received around 198 applications from candidates.
