Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that if there is a war with institutions, he will stand by former prime minister Imran Khan.
In an interview with foreign media, the Awami Muslim League (AML) chief said that all matters with the army were going well and they were on the same page, but suddenly misunderstandings emerged.
Something happened that made MQM-P and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leave the PTI coalition.
He reiterated the demand for holding free fair and transparent elections.
Regarding the no-confidence motion, MQM-P support for the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), made the move a success.
The AML chief said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should not stand against institutions,
It should work with the institutions to fix the date of the election.
He also made it clear that he does not want democracy to end and the only way to avoid that is by holding early elections. He said Imran Khan too wants democracy strengthened.
