PCB’s League Commissioner Naila Bhatti tenders resignation

Naila Bhatti, working as League Commissioner in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has tendered her resignation citing “personal engagements”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.


According to sources, Naila Bhatti has been working in the PCB for quite a long time.


She had initiated her work for Pakistan Super League (PSL) under former Board chiefs Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf.


It may be mentioned here Naila Bhatti was the second PCB official in as many days to quit her post.


On Thursday, Dr Sohail Saleem, Director of Medical and Sports Sciences, has tendered his resignation, which has been accepted by the PCB after an independent three-member Medical Committee’s report showed negligence in the diagnosis of fast bowler Ihsanullah’s injury.


The independent three-member Medical Committee, comprising Prof. Rana Dilawaiz Nadeem, Dr Mumraiz Naqshband and Prof. Javed Akram, tasked with reviewing the handling of fast bowler Ihsanullah’s right elbow injury and recommending next steps, submitted its detailed report to PCB Chairman Mr Mohsin Naqvi Thursday.
