The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a white paper over ‘election manipulation’, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference, the PTI leaders Barrister Gohar and Omar Ayub raised the demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja
“We are issuing a 300-page white paper to bring it to the notice of the people as to how their mandate was stolen,” Gohar said, adding that the PTI won 180 seats in the elections but they were given to other parties through Form 47.
The PTI leadership called for a judicial commission to dig into ‘seat snatching’.
Gohar said the PTI filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the alleged rigging but the plea has not been fixed for hearing.
He said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) declared the PTI intra-party polls invalid, adding that the ECP verdict made the PTI go into the election without its iconic ‘bat’ electoral symbol.

“Our victory was turned into defeat by manipulating election results in the Form 47,” he claimed.
The PTI chairman said the white paper is based on the reports of international organizations, foreign media and newspapers.
He also called for electoral reforms to eliminate rigging in the polls once and for all.
Omar Ayub said the ECP was granted billions of rupees to hold free and fair elections in the country.
“We demand the chief election commissioner to step down,” he said alleging the commission failed to hold fair polls.
He said the five sentences were awarded to PTI founder Imran Khan in just three days.
