Sarina Isa – the wife of Supreme Court judge Justice Faez Isa – has warned that those dancing to the tune of someone else should know that they would send their names to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Interpol and the United Nations if her family is harmed in any way, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In an open letter to President Arif Alvi, she said protecting the life and property of citizens was a government responsibility, adding that Allah would guard her and her family.
“Mr President! You kept giving explanations about the reference in TV interviews while sitting in Aiwan-e-Sadr [President House]. Allah will protect me and my family.”
“We want to make it clear to those dancing to the tune of someone else that if we are harmed then their names would be sent to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Interpol and the United Nations,” said the senior judge’s wife.
“The powerful people forget that they have to give answer to Allah in the next life,” she remarked and noted that she, as a teacher, told her students that one must apologise after admitting the mistake.
Sarina said an insulting campaign based upon mala fide intentions had been launched her through the presidential reference which was thrown into dustbin on June 19, 2020.
“A person Mirza Iftikharuddin threatened to kill my husband Faez Isa. Mr President! My husband Faez Isa thrice wrote letters to you for a copy of the reference but you didn’t bother to reply even once.”
It is mentioned in the letter that Justice Faez in a meeting with former chief justice Asif Saeed Khosa told him that he had nothing to do with the properties in question. In his reply, Khosa said the reference had not standing in that case.
But later, Sarina mentioned, the situation completely changed and the reference was sent to the Supreme Judicial Council. After the move, the former attorney general sought the details of her tax returns from Shahzad Akbar [special assistant to the prime minister], she said.
