Chairman Board of Management Jinnah Hospital Gohar Ejaz presided over the executive committee meeting, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The participants said that the HIMS system built by the Gohar Ejaz Foundation at a cost of 25 crores is being successfully operated in the hospital. A briefing was given on the automated system and ongoing projects.
Executive Director of Jinnah Burn Centre Prof Kamran Khalid, Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Prof Nadeem Hafeez Butt, MS Dr Amjad Mahmud, Director Planning Dr Saeed Alvi, Member Board of Management Dr Zahid Parvez and former head of Cardiology Prof Zubair Akram were among the participants.
Prof Zubair said the information system is being run successfully with the efforts of the Gohar Ijaz Foundation. It is the first hospital in the province where the system was introduced under a public-private partnership, he added.
Gohar said he joined the Board of Management of the hospital as chairman three years ago. He said, “We have no political agenda or money-making goal. I worked hard for three years. Now it's my last year. Seven OTs have been established and all other OTs are being improved," he added and laid stress on providing the best treatment facilities to the ailing people.
