Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb Thursday condemned the attack on former PM Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Aurangzeb said that the political grounds should remain political and not be turned into bloody ones. The Punjab Police did not seal the crime scene immediately after the incident like they should have. She demanded that the crime scene and the container be sealed immediately and also demanded that Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi present the facts of this incident before the nation.

Marriyum said that the federal government will provide every kind of aid for the investigations.

She continued saying that she saw Senator Faisal Javed’s footage who was injured. This is a very sad incident and all the condemnation done will be less. The incident should be thoroughly investigated and the administration along with the Punjab police and the intelligence agencies should bring out the facts before the public as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister has summoned the initial reports as this heinous incident took place in the domain of the Punjab government. Speculations should not at all be made as this is a very sensitive issue as further provocation might be induced due to the rumors and speculations. The media should act responsibly and should broadcast the facts and figures given by the Punjab Government and police only, said the federal Information Minister.

She said that Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah is constant contact with the Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police and Punjab Chief Secretary, any confirmed information will be shared with the media as soon as it is delivered. The Federation will provide every type of aid the Punjab government requires.

Pakistan has already made many sacrifices and shed a lot of blood. Punjab government’s report is awaited, any kind of help demanded will be given by the federation, said Marriyum Aurangzeb.
