Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi arrived at Sugharpur village in the suburbs of Syedpur area of Tehsil Pindaddankhan along with Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar on Thursday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he laid a floral wreath and Fatiha on the grave of his father-in-law SSP Muhammad Ashraf Marth who was the first martyred of the Punjab police against terrorism in the province.
A police team also saluted the martyred police officer Ashraf Marth for his sacrifice during the war on terror 26 years ago.
IG Punjab Police Dr Usman and Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar also laid floral wreaths on the grave of SSP Muhammad Ashraf Marth.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reached Sugharpur by helicopter and went back immediately after reciting Fatiha. Strict security arrangements were made during his visit to his in-laws' village.
Later, Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the two-lane road from Satsara Chowk to the Railway Gate in Mandi Bahauddin. The cost of the road is 372 million.
He visited the patients in the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital and inspected the departments of the hospital.
Mohsin Naqvi said that Mandi Bahauddin District Hospital is better than many hospitals in Lahore and Deputy Commissioner of Mandi Bahauddin deserves kudos for it.
He assured the patients and the staff that the problems faced by the hospital would be solved soon. Meanwhile, some people attempted to approach the Chief Minister to express their complaints and problems but officials stopped them for security reasons. Anyhow, only two of them including a woman approached the CM who immediately ordered action on these requests.
