Versatile Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi made an appearance in FHM’s podcast where he talked about different serious matters happening in today’s society around us.
The ‘Bashar Momin’ actor openly spoke out on topics like early age, facing backlash on divorce, marital rape, making haram things a fashion, and knowledge and awareness among men, regarding religious rulings when it comes to the relationship between a husband and wife.
During the candid conversation held in the show, the popular showbiz star talked about the hypocrisy of people who hate divorced people but glorify cheaters.

“If you are a divorced person, you will be criticized by people but if you are dating multiple women, they will praise you, dating is glorified and marrying seems to be a crime.”

The ‘Main Abdul Qadir Hoon’ actor has also shared his two cents on the feminist slogan ‘Mera Jism Meri Marzi’.

“People have distorted ‘Mera Jism Meri Marzi’ into a joke! It’s about consent. I am a man, but even I expect regard for my consent.”
The ‘Fitoor’ actor further talked about the concept of marital rape in Pakistani society, the star referenced the Prophetic model (Sunnah) in Islam as a comprehensive guide to approach marital relations without isolating them from other religious compulsions.
“You haven’t learned that but you have fixated on one particular thing. Yes, our religion says that when men call their wives, they are obliged to go but there is a certain reason. There are a lot of things that precede such a demand that men are obliged to fulfill first. That includes the five prayers, charity, earning through the right means.”

The actor further explained, “You come home drunk, you hit your wife just yesterday, and then you approach her with force. This is not how it works.”
The superstar also talked about his married life.
“Yes, I got married at an early age, I was eighteen when I got married, well, it happened, it was my childhood, this is how we learn in life, it was a love marriage (from my side)”.
