Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Thursday held a meeting to review law and order and action against illegal immigrants, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
In the meeting, a report about the necessary measures taken for the repatriation of the illegal immigrants was presented and Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the operation procedures in the province.
He directed the authorities to take action to ensure the writ of the state.
He was told that the arrested were being moved to the camps established to detain the illegal immigrants.
It was also stated that a mechanism has been developed to identify and track them down.
The meeting was told that Legal action against the people who rent their property out to the illegal immigrants was on the cards.
Provincial Information Minister Aamir Mir, Chief Secretary, Advocate General Punjab, IG Police, Additional Chief Secretary, Law Secretary, Additional IG Special Branch, Secretary Prosecution, Additional Chief Secretary Home, CCPO, Commissioner Lahore, Additional IGC Td, DIG Operations and other higher officials participated in the meeting.
