Shehbaz welcomes elections date announcement

Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the general election date announcement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Public representation will bring in betterment, he said adding that the PML-N is ready to go to the people's court under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

He said the Supreme Court told those who dissolved the National Assembly about the gravity of their ‘crime’. He said PML-N is the first party that started electioneering and setting up election cells, parliamentary boards and manifesto committees showing its readiness for the polls.

He said the country would be put back on track if the PML-N came to power after the election.

He said the PML-N would bring peace to the country, and put an end to joblessness, and inflation.

Also, a delegation consisting of Sardar Owais Khan Laghari, Abid Raza and Sardar Muhammad Yusuf met Shehbaz Sharif. Ongoing political situation and the party plans came under discussion during the meeting.

Shehbaz greeted Laghari on his acquittal and praised him for standing firm. The visitors briefed the party president about their preparations for the upcoming election.
