Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq Friday said that the announcement of election dates by ECP will lead the public out of their states of confusion and uncertainty about the political situation in the country, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that the government should not repatriate the illegal Afghans hastily but form a joint commission with the government of Afghanistan and make a schedule for their honorable return.
Condemning the silence of the Muslim countries over the Palestine issue, he said that Pakistan and other Muslim countries are muted by America’s terror.
The Muslim countries should provide political, financial and military support to Gaza to prevent it from Israel’s oppression.
He suggested that an Islamic Summit conference should be called over the Palestine issue. Siraj heaped praise on the people for showing concerns and siding with Palestinians despite propaganda.
He announced holding another historic march in Lahore on November 19 to show solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The caretaker government’s decision to increase gas prices after electricity and petrol price hike is unacceptable and his party has already challenged the inclusion of 15 types of taxes in the electricity bills, Siraj said, adding that, the government should pay attention to the Rs1200 billion electricity theft, free facilities to the government officials, and the protocols provide to the ruling class.
MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General KP Abdul Wasi, and former minister Inayat Ullah were also present in the press conference.
