Pakistan announces squad for first ODI against Australia

The National Selection Committee has announced the 11-member squad for the first One Day International (ODI) against Australia, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.


According to the announcement, opening the batting will be Saeem Ayub and Abdullah Shafique, while former captain Babar Azam will bat at number three, and current captain Mohammad Rizwan will take the number four spot.


Kamran Ghulam is positioned at five, with Vice Captain Salman Ali Agha following at number six.


Mohammad Irfan Khan Niazi and Shaheen Afridi will be batting at seventh and eighth, respectively.


Fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf are also included in the squad.


The first ODI match between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
