Pakistan, Germany to launch second phase of Billion Tree project

Pakistan and Germany have agreed on starting the second phase of the billion tree project, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.


According to the spokesman for the Economic Affairs, Germany will give 20 million euros to Pakistan for the purpose.


“The country has already given 13.5 million euros to Pakistan,” the spokesman said, adding, “Under the project, trees will be grown over 10,000 acres of land in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).”


The Information Management System will also be introduced.


Meanwhile, work on the first phase of the project is already in progress.
