Makeshift stage collapses at PML-N Lahore rally

The makeshift stage arranged for the PML-N protest rally held on Temple Road in Lahore collapsed on Saturday, resulting in several party leaders falling to the ground, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
A large of PML-N workers and supporters are attending the rally against the arrest of their president, Shehbaz Sharif, where this incident happened. However, the party continued delivering their speeches after a brief interruption.
Khawaja Saad Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir and Rana Mashhood were among those who fell from the stage.
Several rallies from different localities are reaching the venue as the PML-N arranged the even as a show of power. It is expected that the rally will continue even after the sunset.
On the other hand, the PML-N supporters have also gathered in Swat to register their protest organised just days before the newly-formed opposition alliance – Pakistan Democratic Movement – will start a series of rallies from Quetta on Oct 12.
