Federal government announces key appointments and transfers of senior bureaucrats

The federal government has issued a series of high-level bureaucratic appointments and transfers across various ministries, reported 24NeqwsHD TV channel Wednesday.


According to an official notification by the Establishment Division:



  • Abdul Sattar Khokhar, previously Senior Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Education, has been transferred and appointed as Senior Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Naval Affairs.

  • Humira Zia Mufti, Senior Joint Secretary at the National Security Division, has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD).

  • Asif Iqbal Asif, Principal Accounts Officer at PAEC Islamabad, has been appointed Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Federal Education.

  • Aftab Muhammad Khan, previously awaiting appointment, has been appointed Secretary General of the Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO.

  • Sikandar Masood has been appointed as the Director General of Basic Education Community Schools, with his tenure lasting until his retirement on October 24, 2025.


The official notification outlining these changes has been issued by the Establishment Division.
