There is another dramatic twist in the case of Dr Maha Ali, who committed suicide by shooting herself dead in Karachi’s Defence area after a medico-legal report indicated it may be murder rather than suicide.
According to the report, Dr Maha was right-hander while the bullet entered in Dr Maha’s head from the left side and exited from the right side of the head.
According to authorities, if this report is correct then it raises the doubts on the authenticity of the crime scene.
According to sources, police have decided to go for the exhumation of the lady doctor’s grave and carry out a fresh autopsy to find the real facts based on this report.
The sources said that if the murder of Dr Maha is established then her family may also be investigated.
Dr Junaid, a close friend of Dr Maha, has told the police that they were in a relationship for the last four years and were about to get married.
Dr Junaid said that he would pick and drop Maha to the hospital every day. He said that Maha had told him not to visit her house the day when she committed suicide.
He said that Maha had been suffering from mental stress due to her domestic problems and was at loggerheads with her family.
Dr Maha's father, Syed Asif Ali Shah has alleged that her daughter was being blackmailed and tortured.
He alleged that an organised group including three suspects Junaid, Dr Irfan and Waqas have raped her daughter, hooked her to drugs, and subjected her to severe harassment, due to which she committed suicide.
