Pakistan registered a drop in Covid-19 deaths as the country reported 57 fatalities and 3,787 infections during the last 24 hours (Thursday), showed the statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Friday morning.
As per the NCOC figures, after the addition of 57 new deaths, the overall toll has now surged to 26,035 whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,171,578 after adding the fresh 3,787 cases.
During the last 24 hours (Thursday), a total of 59,745 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 6.33 percent.
During the last 24 hours (Thursday), as many as 6,595 patients have recovered from the virus whereas the total recoveries stood at 1,055,467. As of Friday, the total count of active cases in the country was recorded at 90,076.
As many as 435,159 coronavirus cases have so far been confirmed in Sindh, 397,694 in Punjab, 163,677 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 100,242 in Islamabad, 32,329 in Balochistan, 32,484 in Azad Kashmir and 9,993 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Moreover, 11,979 individuals have lost their lives to the pandemic in Punjab so far, 6,932 in Sindh, 5,041 in KP, 868 in Islamabad, 702 in Azad Kashmir, 339 in Balochistan and 174 in Gilgit Baltistan.
