Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has said the province received unusual rainwater that could fill 260 Tarbela Dams during the ongoing monsoon season, reported 24 News HD TV Channel on Saturday.
Talking to media persons at Larkana Press Club after aerial inspection of the flood situation in Sukkur, Larkana, and Qambar Shahdadkot district, the minister said the Sindh province is suffered the most damage due to floods and rains as there are some districts where there is nothing left. “More than one crore people have been affected in Sindh,” he added.
The minister said the restoration work is going on in the province while the government has distributed about 150,000 tents among the flood survivors so far and more tents have been ordered.
He said that it is a natural calamity and water will remain in the affected areas for a long time.
Nasir Hussain Shah said that the whole nation is suffering due to the wrong policies of Imran Khan.
