Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that the party will oppose any legislation against the constitution and the judiciary.
“None of our parliamentarian assembly will vote for legislation against the constitution and the judiciary,” he told the media after the PTI parliamentary party meeting.
He added: “Today the parliamentary party has issued formal instructions to all the lawmakers.”
He said that the PTI's position regarding negotiations is clear.
He stressed Mahmood Achakzai has a mandate to negotiate with political parties and If Achakzai brings a proposal, the party will deliberate upon it.
A couple of days ago, Achakzai stressed the importance of dialogue in resolving national issues.
In an informal conversation with journalists, Achakzai stated that no problem could be effectively addressed without open dialogues and negotiations.
Achakzai confirmed that he recently met with Rana Sanaullah in Parliament, though he did not disclose the details of their discussion.
He stressed that the key to overcoming challenges lies in the unity of politicians, particularly in their commitment to upholding the Constitution.
Achakzai argued that if political leaders stood together for the supremacy of the constitution, unconstitutional forces would naturally be pushed back, paving the way for a more stable and democratic society.
