As many as 32m wheat flour bags have been distributed among deserving people across Punjab till now under the Ramazan package, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to a Punjab government spokesperson, under the Punjab government's free flour scheme, 16 lahks, 24 thousand 333 bags of flour have been distributed free of cost today.
At least 238,022 bags of ten kg flour have been distributed in Multan division, 227,987 bags in Sahiwal division, 222,175 bags in Sargodha division, 220,242 bags in Faisalabad division, 200,326 bags in DG Khan division, 185,197 bags in Lahore division, 131,312 bags in Bahawalpur division, 102,219 bags in Rawalpindi division and 96,886 bags of flour were distributed in Gujranwala division.
The spokesperson said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, all provincial ministers and secretaries are visiting the free flour points. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also monitoring the distribution across the province by conducting visits at the distribution centers.
Administration and police officers were also mobilized to monitor the peaceful distribution of free flour.
The spokesperson said that the implementation of the record Rs 53b Ramadan package among the beneficiaries by the Punjab government is going on fast. The entire government machinery is active for the fair distribution of free flour among the beneficiaries.
The distribution of free flour among the beneficiaries by the Punjab government will continue till the 25th of Ramadan.
