WhatsApp has said its services are being restored after they went down for thousands of users globally.

Taking to X, the Meta-owned platform stated: "We know some people are experiencing issues right now, we're working on getting things back to 100% for everyone as quickly as possible."

Meta's instant messaging faced server issues as users reported problems while sending or receiving messages on the application.
