Hafizabad police have arrested three of their colleagues after a video went viral in which they were torturing a youth in custody, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Police also registered an FIR against the five policemen of the same police station including the Station House Officer (SHO) and Muharrar involved in the torture of Ali Virk.

The policemen allegedly picked Ali Virk from his house and later locked him behind the bars and asked for bribery. Upon refusal to give bribery, the policemen tortured him and recorded a video footage which later went viral on social media.

Hafizabad DPO took action on the video and ordered the arrest of personnel involved in torturing the youth. Three of the policemen have been arrested.

The father of the victim urged authorities to provide justice in the case. He claimed that a fake case was initiated against his son Ali Virk.
