In a significant development, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken strict disciplinary action against eight of its Sindh Assembly members by suspending their basic party memberships. The decision came in response to their failure to provide satisfactory responses to show cause notices issued earlier.

The notices were issued by PTI Central Secretary General Umar Ayub, who sought explanations from the assembly members on various grounds. However, their responses were deemed unsatisfactory, leading to the suspension of their basic party memberships.

Among those affected is Abbas Jafri, whose primary party membership was previously terminated due to non-compliance with party guidelines. The remaining seven members facing suspension are Rabia Azfar, Bilal Ghaffar, Umar Amari, Dr. Sanjay, Ali Aziz GG, Dr. Imran Shah, Dewan Sach Anand, and Karim Bakhsh Gabol.

The PTI leadership took this decision to uphold party discipline and ensure accountability among its ranks. Such measures demonstrate the party's commitment to maintaining a strong and principled stance when it comes to adherence to party values and code of conduct.
