Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured allies in the coalition government that the decision to choose a caretaker premier will be taken in consultation with them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Chairing a meeting of the leaders of the allied parties in Islamabad on Friday, allies expressed on the performance of PM Shehbaz Sharif, saying the prime minister during his 15 months in office took along all coalition parties with him.
They further said the IMF agreement and other projects will prove a milestone for the country’s development.
Shehbaz Sharif also briefed the leaders about the Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting which he had convened on Saturday.
The premier announced yesterday that he would dissolve the National Assembly on August 9 which originally is completing its constitutional term on August 12.
The constitution stipulates if the assembly is dissolved then the election must be held within 90 days and if the assembly completes its constitutional term, its election must be held in 60 days.
PM to inaugurate Lahore-Kasur to Bahawalnagar motorway
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate Lahore, Kasur to Bahawalnagar motorway on August 6.
On the occasion, PM will also address a public gathering at Khudian Railway Station Ground and in this regard, preparations have been started.
Besides the local PML-N leaders, federal ministers would also participate in the public gathering.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Malik Ahmed Khan is doing the administrative affairs.
