Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that they will not back down under any circumstances and will continue their sit-in protest until they get their rights, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing JI activists at the party’s sit-in in Rawalpindi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman said that people were paying their electricity bills by selling their motorcycles and valuables.
Hafiz Naeem further said that the sit-in participants are acting peacefully and the sit-in will be a turning point in the country's history.
The JI Ameer said our demands are clear and electricity prices should be reduced as public is forced forced to sell household items to pay the electricity bills.
Criticizing budget, Hafiz Naeem said that misrepresentations were used in the budget and the budget presented by the government is based on deception.
Hafiz Naeem said they can announce march any time.
