Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz demanded on Friday that a commission should be set up to investigate the “judicial conspiracy” against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

Responding to reports about the death of former accountability court judge Arshad Malik, who convicted Nawaz in a corruption case, Maryam asked, “A three-time prime minister was declared an absconder, but why a judicial commission was not set up to look into this judicial conspiracy? Why we waited for the death of a person who was ready to tell all?”

In a tweet, the PML-N leader said, “I have a simple question. Who is responsible for this murder of justice? The person who made a revelation and confession about this conspiracy is not in this world anymore. Now this demand will gain momentum that a commission consisting of independent and brave judges should investigate this so that people know the facts. And that day is not far. God willing, it will happen!”
