The Lahore-Sialkot motorway has been closed due to dense fog, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

On the orders of CTO Lahore, additional personnel have been posted at Ravi Bridge, Shahdara Chowk to facilitate the commuters.  

The motorway police instructed the drivers to use front and rare fog lights and avoid unnecessary travel. 

Dr Asad Malhi also issued instructions to keep the flasher lights of all vehicles on.

Cold, dry conditions persist

As per the Metrological Department report, the weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country on Dec 4. However, fog is expected in some plain districts of Punjab in the morning hours.

The weather of the last 24 hours was dry and cold in most parts of the country, while the weather in Gilgit-Baltistan and North Balochistan remained very cold during the night and morning hours.

The minimum temperature recorded today: Leh minus 08 degrees Celsius, Skardu minus 06 degrees Celsius, Astur, Gopas, Kalat, Ziarat minus 04 degrees Celsius and Hunza recorded minus 03 degrees Celsius.
