Seven perish in truck-van collision near Tangwani Cadet College

At least seven people died and 18 others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a van near Karampur Caded College on Indus Highway in Sindh city of Tangwani on Monday morning amid thick fog, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Emergency was sounded in the nearby hospital where police with the help of local residents shifted the injured and the dead bodies.


All the deceased were sitting in the passenger van while 10 of the wounded were also travelling in the van.


After receiving the accident information, police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the wounded to Civil Hospital for treatment. Doctors said condition of seven of the injured was very serious.


Police and rescue personnel were still trying to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage of the two vehicles.


Sources in the police said the cause of the accident was thick fog which engulfed the area since early morning.


Two cars collide in Sargodha


Two people died and five others were injured when two cars in which they were travelling in collided head-on near 85-Jhal in Sargodha on Monday morning.


According to Rescue officials, the accident happened due to overspeeding by both vehicles.


The Rescue personnel shifted the injured to DHQ Hospital for treatment.
