Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said Pak-Saudi economic ties are reaching new heights, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference after PM Shehbaz Sharif concluded his visit to the Kingdom, the minister emphasised the growing strength of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, calling the visit a turning point in bilateral ties.

"The Prime Minister had his fifth meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince in six months, reflecting the deepening cooperation between the two brotherly nations," Tarar stated.

He said that agreements signed during the visit are now materializing, paving the way for increased economic collaboration.

"Promoting investment and enhancing economic cooperation is our government’s top priority." Tarar pointed out that Pakistan’s economy is recovering, with inflation at a six-year low and the stock market reaching record highs.

He attributed these developments to the government's effective policies.

The Minister revealed that a high-ranking Saudi delegation is set to visit Pakistan soon, further solidifying the investment and trade relationship.

He added: "The leadership of both countries is committed to strengthening these exemplary relations.

“The government's economic and diplomatic efforts are bearing fruit and will lead to sustained progress for Pakistan.

“Pakistan’s foreign relations were affected by the PTI regime. Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations improved in a short period. “Twenty-eight MoUs have been signed and work on eight projects is on.”

He stressed that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also represented Pakistan at the recent Water Conference, effectively presenting the country's stance on global water challenges.
