The Harbanspura police have failed to rein in robbers, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Gunmen got into the car of Waseem outside of his house in Canal Bank Housing Scheme and deprived him and his wife of Rs60,000.
The victim approached the police and got a case registered.
Residents raised their concerns at the surge in such crimes and called upon the high-ups to take action to provide the people with protection.
A case has been registered.
