At least 51 government employees were issued show-cause notices for not appearing in election duties in Umerkot district of interior Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Umerkot’s Kunri tehsil area Returning Officer Rajesh Kumar issued the production orders of nine employees of various govt departments.
The RO ordered the police to present the accused in front of him.
Overall 51 officers were issued show-cause notice for not appearing in meetings to get training and advices for duties in general elections 2024.
The government employees who were issued the arrest warrant included Dhano Mal, Shahmir, Mohan Lal, Murtaza Satiyo, Dharmon, Amir Hussain, M Sadiq and others.
